These numbers come from the HTTP Archive (opens in new tab) and Chrome UX Report (opens in new tab), which analyze millions of real websites every month. In practical terms: a visitor lands on the median WordPress site, waits roughly 6.4 seconds for the main content to appear, and a substantial share leave before it does. The gap below isn’t an engineering vanity metric — it’s the missed phone calls and form submissions you never hear about.

How We Achieve This

Our performance isn't accidental — it's architectural. Here's what's happening under the hood:

Zero JavaScript by default. Our sites ship no client-side JS unless a component explicitly needs interactivity. No React, no Vue, no jQuery — just the HTML, CSS, and tiny scripts each page actually needs.
All CSS inlined. Every stylesheet is inlined into the HTML at build time, eliminating render-blocking network requests. Cloudflare's edge cache serves the complete page in one round-trip.
Page-conditional font preloading. Each page preloads only the fonts that sit above its own fold. The homepage adds Inter italic (used in the manifesto) and Sriracha (display font); service detail pages add Sriracha for the "How It Works" section; every page preloads Archia 600 for h2 headings. Late font swaps no longer reflow the LCP element — saving ~80 ms of forced reflow per load.
Deferred hero video. The background video ships hidden behind a solid-color hero, so neither the video nor a full-bleed poster image does any layout or decode work while the page’s largest text is painting. A tiny script mounts the video on idle — after that first paint — and cross-fades it in, keeping it entirely off the critical rendering path.
Cloudinary auto-negotiation. Images and video are served via Cloudinary with f_auto,q_auto, delivering AVIF to Chrome, HEIC to Safari, and WebP everywhere else — at the smallest size the browser can handle.
Edge deployment. Every page is pre-rendered at build time and served from Cloudflare's 300+ edge locations. TTFB under 50ms worldwide.
