Pricing Benchmarks & Research
Every claim we make about how our pricing compares is anchored to a specific, verifiable, third-party study. This page aggregates every citation referenced across our service catalog so you can audit the source data yourself in one place.
Foundational anchors
These two studies do most of the heavy lifting on the broad-catalog comparisons we make. Both pull from huge third-party datasets (Clutch indexes 106,043 verified agencies; Ahrefs surveyed 439 SEO providers), and both publish their methodology so the numbers stay auditable.

Methodology — how we use these citations
Each service page on the site cites a curated subset of these studies in its Industry Benchmarks section. We follow four conventions across every citation:
- Year-cited. Every claim names the year of the study ("2026 ClicksGeek CRO Pricing Guide", not "ClicksGeek's CRO guide") so each citation is auditable.
- Specific finding pulled into our copy. We quote the exact number we're citing rather than relying on the source page's live state — if the source page later changes its number, our citation is still anchored to the dated study identified here.
- Multi-source triangulation. Where possible we pair a Tier 1 anchor (Ahrefs, Clutch, AgencyAnalytics, VWO, Netalico) with a vertical-specific or triangulating reference for compounded authority.
- Vendor-ownership differentiator. Every benchmark we cite has tool licenses bundled into the agency's fee. TechTailors' labor-only pricing is structurally lower than the bundled equivalent per our vendor-account-ownership architecture — every page that cites a study explicitly calls this out.
Sources we deliberately don't cite
Some industry sources are referenced in third-party syntheses but either paywalled, smaller-N, or no longer directly verifiable. We don't cite these on public pages without re-verifying first:
- Forrester / G2 / Gartner enterprise pricing reports — typically paywalled. Don't cite without owning a copy.
- HubSpot's 2025 Agency Growth Report — referenced in third-party syntheses; original URL has shifted. Re-verify before citing.
- Search Engine Journal — State of the SEO Agency Report — source itself is paywalled / sign-up required. We cite Digital Elevator's summary instead.
- Convertica, CRO Metrics, Conversion Sciences pricing — mentioned in CRO agency overviews but no published rate cards. We don't cite specific dollars without a primary source.
