What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences and understand how you interact with its pages. This policy explains what cookies we use, why, and how you can manage them.
Cookies we use
Essential Cookies: Required for the Site to work
securely. Cloudflare, which hosts and protects the Site, may set security
cookies (such as __cf_bm or cf_clearance) when
it checks traffic for bots or shows a security challenge. You cannot opt
out of essential cookies without affecting Site functionality.
Preferences stored in your browser: Your light or dark theme, your sound and animation settings, your onboarding checklist progress and your recent Website Health Checker results are saved in your browser’s local storage on your device, so the Site remembers them on your next visit. They are not cookies and are not sent to us.
Analytics Cookies: We use Google Analytics 4 to
understand how visitors use the Site, including pages visited, how
visitors arrive, and similar usage information. This helps us improve the
Site. We run Google Analytics through Cloudflare Zaraz, which loads it
from Cloudflare’s servers rather than in your browser. Zaraz sets
these first-party cookies on gettechtailored.com, which hold a random
identifier for your browser and for your visit so visits can be counted
and grouped into sessions: cf_zaraz_client and
cfz_google-analytics_v4, which last up to one year, and
cfzs_google-analytics_v4, which ends when you close your
browser. Details of each page view are then sent to Google.
A tt_internal cookie, which lasts two years, is set only when a
browser visits our staff enrolment link. We use it on TechTailors devices to
keep our own visits out of these analytics.
Performance Cookies: Cloudflare may set cookies for security and performance purposes, including bot detection, DDoS mitigation, and content delivery optimization. These cookies are strictly functional and do not track you for advertising purposes.
Third-party cookies
We minimize third-party cookies. The services that may set cookies through our Site include: Cloudflare (security, CDN, and Zaraz, which runs Google Analytics 4 for us) and Cloudinary (media delivery optimization). Google receives analytics data from Zaraz, as described above. Each of these providers has their own privacy and cookie policies governing their use of cookies and data.
Disabling cookies
You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block all cookies, block only third-party cookies, or clear cookies when you close the browser. Blocking the analytics cookies above does not stop the Site from working. Note that disabling essential cookies may affect Site functionality, such as form submissions.
